Saturday 21 June Kids Who Care Helpers Required

On Saturday 21 June we will be hosting a come and try it event for Kids Who Care. These are a group of youngsters who look after a family member at home and are having a trip to try canoeing with us. There are 30 youngsters coming this year. They arrive around 1.45pm and after a couple of hours on the water we provide a homemade tea. We need about 10/12 helpers for the day: coaches to lead the group on the water, people to distribute buoyancy aids and to help with the tea.

Please be at the club around 1.15 to 1.30pm so we can get some boats out ready for when they arrive at 1.45pm. It'll be finished around 4.30pm.

  • Very sorry, I have to be away that weekend. Is there anyone who could take my place as a helper? Thanks Jacqui
  • Adam will be along to help out also
  • Thank you; and Bruce is hoping to come, I think.
  • Sorry I won't be able to make it today, not feeling too great and an afternoon in the sun however appealing won't do me much good! Hope it's a good day out for everyone involved.
  • Thank you to all the helpers. It was a great afternoon. The youngsters had a great time on the water and really enjoyed their day. Stunning and yummy cakes from Therese, Helen and Susan.
  • As Jane said. Many thanks to all for making it a great day for them. Hopefully you all enjoyed yourselves as well?
