SK wet skills eve weds 12th Teignmouth - any takers?

Does anyone want to paddle from Back beach, Teignmouth, on Weds eve? As usual, this can be a relatively short session and offers a good opportunity to practice rolls, rescues, balance etc.

If no takers, no worries. Maybe the usual crew have had enough now. But I'm just aware I said I'd try to support some more evenings while there's light and warm water.

    Great. Looking forward to it. Please check you've got your boat transport sorted! It can be busy for parking so consider a trolley, and perhaps a hot drink for afterwards. Eclipse glasses??

    Josie and I are thinking about doing a couple of hours in the afternoon before this session. I think most people will be at work, but if anyone else is keen, do comment.

    I had totally forgotten about the eclipse, and had promised Molly we would go up a local Tor... so I will skip this week!

    One day Ill be back in a boat!

    Fair enough. I'm hoping we will go out to sea to see what we can see, but Teignmouth isn't necessarily perfect for an evening eclipse. We might be better off going up the estuary a bit, beyond the bridge, for 7:15.

    Maggie, Dave, Josie starting at 3:30. Everyone meet at 6pm or as soon after as possible, back beach. Bring personal safety kit. Bring something suitable if you want to look at the eclipse - a phone with a selfie camera, a colander, eclipse glasses etc.
    HW about 7:30. Wind is 3 gusting 4 from East.

    Ok. Teignmouth is packed, queuing for the car park. We are currently to the R of the slipway back beach.
