Wed 24 August Coaches / Leaders / experienced paddlers Multi craft rescue skills session
The new BC qualifications, eg paddlesport instructor and paddlesport leader require the paddler to be able to rescue any craft from the paddler's chosen craft, eg rescue a canoe from a sea kayak etc. Most of us have not done this before, but we are likely to have to teach it. First step is working out how to do it. Come to a very wet rescue skills session in the canal basin. It should be a lot of fun.
Susan has worked out how we can obtain 10 CPD points for this session.
Meet to get on the water around 6.30pm.

I've freed up the evening to come and help out. As I've already done PI, I'm happy to play victim in any craft(s). The only thing I'm not comfortable with is being an unconcsious kayaker. I haven't tried being an entrapped canoeist before but can give it a go.
For anyone who needs CPD points I have had confirmation that this will provide 10 CPD points and I will email everyone who attends details of how to claim the points after Wednesday.
I aim to be there, subject to memory losses.
