Whitewater Trip, Sunday 18 th February

Hoping conditions will be okay for a trip this Sunday. Will be suitable for anyone with some whitewater experience. Will make a decision on the location nearer the time, possibly not until Saturday evening. Please post below if you'd like to come along.

    The plan tomorrow is to paddle the Walkham. There is a lot of rain due overnight but the current forecast would suggest the water will be dropping by the time we get on and should be good. However just be aware that this could change.

    We'll meet at the get on, Bedford Bridge, outside of Tavistock at 9.30 if driving direct or at the club, ready to leave by 8.30. Can you indicate if you are driving direct or will be at the club?

    Sorry to miss this one previously arranged family event. Paul you are probably aware but reports of trees on Walkham near to confluence with Tavy and one in the big rapid just after joining the Tavy. Have a good one.

    Sorry can no longer make it this Sunday. Long day sea kayaking on the dart today so see to balance activities over the weekend. Enjoy the river. You should have lots of water.

    When thinking of travelling, I was in Tavistock today and the delays due to roadworks as you leave going south were big. Possibly not too bad on a Sunday morning, but worth thinking about. Also, I think Denham Bridge is still closed as the get-out. See you in the morning.
