Saturday 22 November Sea kayak night paddle from Exmouth Updated

Paddle from Exmouth to Topsham c 4pm, break for supper, and return in the dark. Based on the tides most of this trip will be in the dark.
Before attending this trip you must be regularly paddling in the dark eg on the canal on Tuesday evenings.
Your lights on this trip must conform to the Maritime Collision Regulations. The requirements for kayaks are white lights both fore and aft. Wear warm clothes.
Meet at the club at 3.15pm to load boats, to arrive at Exmouth 4pm and set off c 4.30pm. HW at Exmouth 1930. I will book a table at the Lighter Inn once we know if the trip will go ahead.
If anyone wants to load boats earlier on Saturday let me know as I can do this. You can then drive directly to Exmouth if you want.
Parking at the car park at Imperial Recreation Ground, EX8 1DG as there are spaces next to the slipway.

Adults only.
We need good weather for this trip. If the weather is not suitable an alternative date is 6 December.
Maximum 6 people.

Table is booked at the Lighter Inn for 6.30pm, 8 people.

    Yes please. Eleanore’s workshop doesn’t finish until 3 so I’ll go direct to be at Exmouth just after 4. Will work out boat nearer the time (prob Thu night)

    The trip is full with 6 people already and paddling on the estuary in the dark is really for people who have already got plenty of experience on the canal in the dark. Please may I suggest that you try the canal for a few weeks and if this goes well then join the night trip on 6 December.
